Job Overview
We specialise in English and Maths retake opportunities (GCSE and Functional Skills) for young people, as part of their study programme, as well as adult learners through part-time (day/evening) and online provision.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have experience of GCSE delivery and be responsible for creating and delivering an inspiring and carefully sequenced curriculum to 16-18 and adult groups which could be across a range of our campuses and during daytime and evening hours.
The successful candidate should be confident and able to implement up-to-date teaching and learning pedagogy, both within the classroom and through online learning mediums. The individual should have the vision and capability to adapt the curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment to suit the needs of our diverse range of learners, from different vocational backgrounds and support needs, ensuring progress is made.
The successful candidate will work closely with their English and Maths coordinator, as well as the Head of English and Maths, to ensure the department continues to move forward in this exciting curriculum area.
Qualifications & Requirements
The successful applicant(s) will have a related degree, a full teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) together with experience of teaching in either the FE or Schools' sector. Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply for the post.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, including barred list information, as this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
Safeguarding training is mandatory for all employees and will form part of your induction and ongoing CPD.
