Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Benefits Officer for a Local Authority Client in Warwickshire. In this role you will support residents by accurately assessing benefits and providing financial support and advice to help them pay their rent and council tax. Duties: Assess and administer Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, and discretionary financial support claims. Interview residents to understand their circumstances and provide clear, tailored benefits advice. Review and update claims to ensure accuracy, compliance, and protection of public Work with internal teams and external partners to resolve cases and improve outcomes for residents. Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience: Experience of assessing Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Reduction claims. Working knowledge of relevant benefits legislation, policies, and procedures. Experience of communicating complex information clearly to customers. Experience of managing a varied caseload and working to deadlines under pressure.
