Role: Janitor x 2 Contract Length: Until April 2026 Location: Manchester IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: £16.63 per hour Spinwell is recruiting for a Janitor for an excellent opportunity within the public sector. JANITOR JOB DESCRIPTION Must have previous janitorial/caretaking/handyman/portering experience, working within a medium to large scale organisation Must have experience of carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs – replacing light bulbs, fixing curtain rails, mounting shelves, painting etc Must have knowledge of basic cleaning equipment, materials and methods – high level cleaning, carpet cleaning etc Must have a good understanding of the English language both verbal communication and written text Must be fit to carry out the role of a janitor including, lifting, loading. unloading, carrying equipment & furniture, bending, pushing and handling equipment. The role will include leaf clearance and spreading grit to car parks, paths and walkways in the winter months plus setting up rooms for meetings and training Must be capable of basic recording/checking functions – weekly fire alarm tests and lift checks, ladder safety checks and asbestos monitoring – training will be provided Must have an understanding of health and safety particularly around manual handling, working at height, COSHH and the safe use of equipment Must have a good attendance and performance record Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work with insurance for business purposes – multiple sites covered If you are a Janitor, apply now or send your CV to Spinwell!
