Responsibilities include:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and brake inspections to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.
* Learn to identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Work under supervision to fix identified issues, including replacing parts, repairing systems, and ensuring the proper functioning of various vehicle components.
* Shadow and assist experienced mechanics to acquire hands-on experience and practical knowledge in vehicle repair.
* Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
* Gain proficiency in using various tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment essential for vehicle repairs.
* Maintain records of repairs and services performed, documenting parts used, and providing accurate information.
Requirements:
* GCSE Maths at Grade D or above and GCSE English at Grade E or above.
* Willingness to learn and contribute to our mission to offer our customers an unrivalled level of service supported by the highest quality and most innovative range of equipment.
* Application to one of the programs offered at South West College, either at the Dungannon or Omagh Campus:
o Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Level 2 or Level 3)
o Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Level 2 or Level 3)
