An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our rotational physiotherapy programme within stroke, neurological and specialist rehabilitation services across NHS Forth Valley. This role offers broad clinical exposure across the stroke and neuro/specialist pathway, supporting patients from acute admission through to community-based rehabilitation.
Services included within the rotational post
* Specialist Rehabilitation Unit based in Bellfield Centre, Stirling
* Acute Stroke based in Forth Valley Royal Hospital
* START Team - Stroke Early Supported Discharge (ESD)
* Neuro Rehab Team – Forth Valley wide
The rotational nature of the post supports development of advanced clinical reasoning, integrated pathway working, and specialist rehabilitation skills across hospital and community settings.
The role
* Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based physiotherapy assessment and intervention for people with stroke and complex neurological conditions.
* Manage a complex caseload, demonstrating sound clinical reasoning and risk management.
* Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to goal setting, discharge planning and patient/carer education.
* Contribute to service quality through audit, evaluation and service improvement activity.
* Provide supervision, support and teaching to students, therapy support staff and junior colleagues as appropriate.
* Work flexibly across inpatient and community settings in line with service need.
* Participate in respiratory on call Physiotherapy while working within Acute Stroke.
