This role focuses on supporting pupils in Reception and KS1 with autism (ASC) and severe learning difficulties (SLD). This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a nurturing setting where you can support children's social, emotional, and academic development from an early age. The Role: You will: • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups with complex learning and communication needs. • Use sensory-based approaches, visual supports, and structured routines. • Assist in delivering personalised activities under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO. • Support emotional regulation and help promote independence. • Create a positive, consistent and encouraging learning environment. About You: • Experience with autism and/or SLD, ideally in EYFS or KS1. • Familiar with Makaton, sensory circuits, or visual learning tools. • Compassionate, patient, and reliable. • A background in education, childcare or support work is desirable. • Positive behaviour management experience is a bonus.
