About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person working here understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories. Joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to those residents.
Your responsibilities include planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether assisting with mobility, end-of-life care, or communicating with families, kindness is your guiding principle.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are key aspects of your role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be willing to pursue a Level 3 qualification or equivalent. A background in person-centered care planning and dementia care knowledge is preferred. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
