Are you interested in developing a traditional leisure facilities offer into a broader Wellbeing Hub offer? Are you organised, motivated and enjoy working with all ages and abilities? Are you passionate about providing inclusive opportunities that can contribute to improving the wellbeing of the residents of Ceredigion? If you are then please read on… We are looking to recruit a Casual Lifeguard to join our expanding Wellbeing Centre Service. As the council's lead service for delivering and developing physical activity opportunities, you will work closely with the management team to ensure that the service maximises its contribution to improving the health and wellbeing of the county's residents.
Responsibilities
* Lead teams to develop Wellbeing Hubs in the North of Ceredigion, identify how we can improve current provision such as Learn To Swim programme, Free Swimming and our School Swimming programme, and introduce new opportunities to increase the usage of all our facilities.
* Support staff to provide an excellent customer experience.
* Work closely with the Co-ordinator - WBH Operations and Development, Swimming Instructor and Duty Officers to achieve service goals.
* Contribute to providing opportunities that encourage residents of Ceredigion to become healthy and active and to embed those principles into everyday life.
Requirements / About the Role
* Energetic individual who has the ability, knowledge, and personal qualities to be a key member of the Wellbeing Centre Service.
* This role involves safeguarding responsibilities and the ability to work within an inclusive environment.
* We are committed to safeguarding and protecting children and adults at risk. This role will require an Enhanced DBS check. The presence of previous convictions will not necessarily disqualify a candidate; each applicant is assessed on a case-by-case basis in relation to the responsibilities of the role.
