Overview
Graduate Cover Supervisor - Secondary School role with Vision for Education is for recent graduates seeking school-based experience in secondary schools. Work is on a flexible schedule, part or full time, with partnering secondary schools in Kirklees. This role provides an opportunity to gain firsthand experience in a school setting prior to applying for Initial Teacher Training.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate class learning in the absence of the teacher.
* Manage classroom behaviour and support pupil engagement.
* Record accurate attendance registers and provide handover notes for the absent teacher.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident and organised with a passion for education and supporting young people.
* Previous experience working with secondary age children is desirable but not essential.
Training
If you are new to the Graduate Cover Supervisor role, you will be offered a comprehensive Cover Supervisor Training Programme to equip you with the necessary skills. The next Graduate Cover Supervisor Training Programme is on Tuesday 30th September 2025 in Lindley, Huddersfield. Apply to secure your place.
