Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Didsbury, Manchester Salary: £31,400 Working closely with Accounts Payable Team Leader you will be instrumental in the timely processing of supplier invoices and payments on behalf of the Group and will be an ambassador of exceptional customer service to suppliers and colleagues across the business. What you’ll be doing Processing invoices and be the main point of contact for Hive, Terra Nova & Cube invoices and queries, Managing AP mailboxes and distributing queries to AP Officers, Ensuring invoices are scanned correctly to enable proper allocation of AP officers for processing, Performing daily invoice matching in QL, Preparation of payment run, Preparation of same day payments when needed, Monitoring Interface in Open Accounts, resolving issues with invoices in preparation for monthly close down, Assisting with month end process, Work closely with the AP Team Leader to highlight areas for process improvement, or training needs To support training for new colleagues and support current staff with their development needs, To actively ensure that Accounts Payable policies and procedures are kept relevant and up to date, To manage the allocation of supplier refunds and direct debits postings, Testing software updates in SRN to ensure that all processes are working correctly, To be a role model, promoting positive behaviours across the team. What you’ll need Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable function, Finance qualification, e.g. finance degree, AAT qualified/ACCA part qualified or equivalent desired but not essential, Experience in Open Accounts, eBis, V1 and QL is desired but not essential, however general, system proficiency is required, Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPS, Ability to multitask and prioritise the workload, Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure, Ability to deliver a high standard of customer service in accordance with our SLA’s, Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative within team KPI’s, Good written and verbal communication skills.
