Job Description
* Financial Management: Oversee the school's financial operations, ensuring effective budgeting and resource allocation.
* Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the school.
* Human Resources: Manage HR functions including staff records, recruitment processes, and personnel support.
* Compliance: Maintain adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Administration: Lead and manage administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
* Operational Support: Provide strategic and practical support to enable the school to function efficiently.
* Leadership Support: Allow the senior leadership team to focus on teaching and learning by managing operational tasks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Business/Office Manager should have:
* Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting and reporting
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within an educational or public sector setting
* Knowledge and experience in human resources processes and compliance
* Ability to manage administrative operations efficiently
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and relevant administrative software
* Ability to work collaboratively with the Headteacher and leadership team
* Experience in compliance and regulatory frameworks
* A proactive and solution-focused approach to operational challenges
* Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise effectively
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Previous experience in a similar role within a school environment would be preferred.
