About the Role

A new opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join their specialist team in Bristol. Working closely with senior leadership, you will take an independent lead on a busy and meaningful caseload, with support from a dedicated paralegal.
You will:
* Handle a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters, particularly property and financial affairs.
* Act as deputy and advise on issues relating to capacity, deputyship, and financial decision-making.
* Supervise and mentor a paralegal, delegating work effectively.
* Maintain long-term relationships with vulnerable individuals, families, and external professionals.
* Contribute to the development of the department and firm-wide initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years’ PQE in Court of Protection matters.
* Be confident managing a caseload independently with paralegal support.
* Demonstrate sensitivity and professionalism in dealing with vulnerable clients.
* Be commercially minded and proactive in building the team’s offering.
* Bring strong communication and interpersonal skills.
