We are looking for maternity cover contract for a Bookkeeper/Accounts assistant near Gullane/North Berwick in East Lothian Busy but small rural office dealing with farming and property business. An interesting role where no 2 days are the same Ideally full time but flexible/shorter hours considered for the right candidate. Fully office based. Key skills book-keeping on SAGE 50 professional and extensive use of excel, team player, willingness to learn and excellent communication Start date August 2025 Key duties Basic accounts and data entry for 3 SME Sage 50 data entry and reporting All aspects of sales and purchase ledger Banking, recording, reconciling Prepare and process journals Weekly and monthly financial reporting Prepare and process Sage 50 Payroll and all associated Monthly/Yearly tasks Filing and archiving as required Update tenant records and liaise with ELC Other office functions as required including holiday and sickness cover Essential skills: SAGE 50 Professional SAGE 50 Payroll Highly numerate Multitasking Microsoft Office excel is essential Excellent communication Good team player Salary subject to skills and experience Applicants are requested to send their CV and cover letter
