Quality Assurance Coordinator – Montefiore Medical Center

City / State: Bronx, New York

Department: OMD - Quality Management NYSNA

Work Shift: Day (MON-FRI)

Scheduled Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (7.5 hours per day)

Hourly Rate: $65.83

As staff to the quality management, peer review, and performance improvement processes within a designated Care Center and/or Service Line, the associate will perform case finding and analysis, provide QI committee support, and facilitate studies and projects that will achieve Care Center goals for cost, quality, and service. The individual will be self‑motivated and have a track record of working effectively with physicians and other senior staff. Previous QM experience preferred. Minimum 3 years of clinical experience required. Bachelors degree required. NY State RN license required.


Responsibilities

* Analyze events of care and identify potential quality issues.
* Provide QI committee support and facilitate studies and projects.
* Establish priorities and perform multiple duties affected by frequent change.
* Write and present reports and findings in an accurate, succinct, and organized manner.
* Demonstrate competence in mathematics and basic statistics.
* Adhere to work schedules and detail‑oriented approach.
* Use Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access) proficiently; achieve competency within six months if not already proficient.


Qualifications

* Bachelors degree required.
* NY State RN license required.
* Minimum 3 years of clinical experience; previous QM experience preferred.
* Self‑motivated with proven ability to work effectively with physicians and senior staff.
* Strong prioritization skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs within six months of employment (if not already).
