Pastoral Lead - Secondary School Bury | Full-Time | September Start | Temp to Permanent Salary: £27,512 per annum Simply Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Bury to recruit two dedicated Pastoral Leads to join their pastoral team from September on a full-time, temp-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact on their educational journey. The successful candidates will work closely alongside the Head of Year, providing pastoral support to a designated year group while contributing to the wider pastoral and safeguarding responsibilities across the school. The Role As a Pastoral Lead, you will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, attendance, wellbeing, and student engagement. You will build strong relationships with students, families, staff, and external agencies to ensure every young person receives the support they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities Provide pastoral support and guidance to a designated year group. Work collaboratively with the Head of Year to support student wellbeing and achievement. Monitor attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding concerns. Liaise with parents/carers and external support agencies where required. Support students facing social, emotional, behavioural, or attendance challenges. Contribute to the school's wider pastoral and behaviour strategies. Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. The Ideal Candidate We are keen to hear from candidates who have previous experience working with young people in an educational setting. This could include experience as a: Teaching Assistant Behaviour Mentor SEN TA Pastoral Support Worker Youth Worker Attendance Officer Any similar role supporting students and families Experience working with behaviour management, student welfare, safeguarding, attendance, or external agencies would be highly beneficial.
