About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in empowering a Year Four student with ADHD to thrive in the classroom. Your primary responsibilities will include:
1-2-1 Support: Provide personalised support to the student, helping them navigate their learning journey and manage their ADHD-related challenges effectively.
Learning Support: Collaborate closely with the class teacher to adapt lessons and materials to suit the individual needs and learning style of the student.
Behaviour Management: Implement strategies to support the student's behavioural and emotional well-being, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Progress Tracking: Maintain comprehensive records of the student's progress and work closely with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and parents to communicate progress and make necessary adjustments.
Inclusion: Foster a sense of belonging for the student within the classroom, promoting an environment where they can learn and grow alongside their peers.
