The contract operations manager will assume day to day responsibility for the operational delivery of the Herefordshire Public Realm Contract. The role also supports the wider Business Unit with strategic objectives, with a particular focus on the health, safety, environment & sustainability (HSES). You will work closely with the Contract Director and the Senior Management Team (SMT) to ensure contract objectives are achieved through exceptional leadership.
What you'll be doing
As a Contract Manage r, your responsibilities include:
1. Proactively support the Contract Director in delivering the service, identifying and maximising opportunities to grow and expand the business
2. Provide leadership to the Contract team and manage the supply chain to deliver all the contract deliverables to time, cost and quality targets and standards
3. Deliver Zero Harm and all ensure safety standards are understood & achieved
4. Ensure operational performance indicators (OPIs) are achieved
5. Lead monthly Operations Board meeting with Herefordshire Council
6. Lead and deliver monthly staff updates
7. Manage commercial and business risk to achieve targets and deliver stretch objectives.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
8. Significant previous experience leading large, diverse teams in a fast paced and fluid environment.
9. Exceptional time management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities, programmes and outcomes
10. Demonstrable experience of building & leading a collaborative team
11. The ability to communicate effectively in order to manage customer relationships, in addition to strong planning and organisation skills to deliver operational excellence and efficiency
12. Strong leadership skills, including experience of leading teams and confidence in the ability to lead, influence and communicate with others to deliver targets are required
13. Financial awareness is required to deliver targets, with a desire to continuously improve safety and sustainability performance
14. An appropriate membership of professional body would be preferred CIHT, MICE.
