Early years educator (level 3) – Staines, Sunbury on Thames area
Key Responsibilities
Childcare and Education
* Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
* Support children’s learning through play‑based experiences.
* Observe, assess, and record children’s development and progress.
* Maintain accurate learning journeys and development records.
* Act as a key person for a group of children, building strong, secure relationships.
Safeguarding and Welfare
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
* Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Promote children’s health, hygiene, and personal care routines.
* Administer first aid where required (if trained).
Essential
* Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
* Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
* Experience working in an early years setting.
* Knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice.
* Food hygiene certificate.
