Purpose of Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Joiner to deliver planned and reactive maintenance, as well as support small-scale retrofit projects across RAF Brize Norton
Job Description
This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of maintenance, minor installations, and general repairs in a large, operational environment. You will work across diverse facilities including accommodation blocks, kitchens, bathrooms, workshops, office areas, and storage buildings, ensuring all systems and facilities remain safe, functional, and compliant
Responsibilities
•Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across base facilities.
•Support minor retrofit projects, including kitchenettes, bathrooms, and small structural modifications.
•Perform general repairs and maintenance including plumbing, doors, windows, and other fabric work.
•Source and purchase materials as required for project and maintenance work.
•Ensure accurate completion of job sheets, compliance documentation, and CAFM updates.
•Work independently and as part of a multi-skilled FM team to deliver high-quality results.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
•Proven experience in maintenance, multi-trade, or FM environments.
•NVQ certified Carpenter or time-served.
•Skilled in general repairs, plumbing, carpentry/joinery, and basic mechanical work.
•Comfortable working across a large operational site in a secure environment.
•Capable of planning and prioritising reactive maintenance and small-scale projects.
•Good understanding of compliance processes and accurate completion of paperwork.
•Full UK Driver’s Licence (maximum 6 points, no drink-driving offences).
