Buying and selling a property in the UK is a nightmare. Transactions drag on for months and have a 40% chance of collapsing completely. We’re on a mission to change this and help our customers find and get the keys to their dream home up to 95% faster than it currently takes.
To do this we’re combining a brand new way of buying and selling property with a platform built on modern technology to deliver a fantastic experience for our customers and completely change the way property is bought and sold in the UK.

About the role
As the first business hire at Propelr, you’ll be instrumental in directly driving revenue growth while scaling our sales and partnership operations. From speaking to prospects and building relationships with our partners, to building the partnerships team, you will have a huge impact from day one.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has big ambitions and wants to drive their partnerships career, but wants to get their hands dirty building a high growth business from the ground up. You will work closely with the COO and CEO to decide the tools and processes the team uses and define the culture the future team will live by as the company scales and the team grows.
This role isn’t just about driving sales and solving customer problems. You’ll also be involved with all stages of developing the product. You’ll interact directly with our partners in the property industry to learn where they’re struggling and how we can help. You’ll propose solutions to these pain points to the business. Working with everyone in the team, you will turn these problems into product requirements that the engineering team can build and ship.
As we scale and improve the proposition we’ll start growing the team and tackling bigger challenges. You’ll have the opportunity to specialise more into the business development, partnerships or operations skill sets and to begin managing a team of people. You’ll continue to focus on delivering the day-to-day, while also developing your skills as a mentor and leader within the business.
What you'll be doing
* You will be at the heart of driving significant new business growth, from striking new distribution partnerships, to closing the leads that come from them. You’ll be:
* Reaching out to and converting prospects in your pipeline, at scale, through phone calls and emails;
* Building relationships with our network of estate agents and other partners to form new distribution channels and grow existing ones;
* Create and execute marketing and communications plans to help drive growth;
* Helping out with service operations and delivery;
* Driving research, analysis, and providing insights, supporting the CEO and the COO in exploring business strategies, business development, and product development projects;
* Having fun along the way and learning from an experienced leadership team.
What we're looking for from you
* You have 3-5 years of experience working in at least two of the following: sales/business development; partnerships/account management; operations.
* You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. You’re not afraid to get on the phone and close the deal.
* You have the ability to work independently and be self-directed. A passion and commitment for what you do – you’re willing to work hard and can handle various projects at once.
* You’ve previously worked in a demanding and fast-paced environment (like an early-stage startup or scale-up) and enjoyed having an impact on all areas of the business.
* You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. You are comfortable working with ambiguity in a scaling technology company, which is a continually evolving environment.
* Property / real estate experience is helpful but not essential.
Our interview process
Our process is three simple stages:
1. Initial chat with the COO (20-40 mins) where we can find out a little bit about your experience and you’ll have the opportunity to find out anything you like about the company
2. A take-home case study (2 hours max. to be done at your own pace) to allow you to get a taste of the sort of things you might do at Propelr and to demonstrate how you think, followed up with a presentation and review of your take-home coding exercise with the COO and CEO (60 mins)
3. Values-alignment interview with our CEO and CTO (60 mins)
We aim to get you through the process within 2-3 weeks.
Once you’ve received an offer from us, we’ll take you to lunch so you can meet the rest of the team in a more informal setting.
