Senior Charge Midwife, Band 7, Labour Suite. Permanent post, 34.02 hours per week.
This is an opportunity for an experienced midwife to join our multidisciplinary team providing quality intrapartum care. You will be an exemplar of person-centred care and will provide clinical leadership to the midwifery team to ensure safe and effective care is delivered to every woman, every time. You will be responsible for managing and developing the performance of a small team based within the labour ward setting but may be required to provide care and support in other clinical areas across Tayside.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership to the midwifery team to ensure safe and effective care for every woman, every time.
* Manage and develop the performance of a small team within the labour ward setting; provide care and support in other clinical areas across Tayside as required.
* Support continuous quality improvement, service development and continuity of care for women experiencing complex pregnancy.
* Demonstrate insight, understanding and mutual respect of women, their families and colleagues; ensure person-centred care is delivered.
* Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork, clinical governance, and evidence-based practice within maternity services.
Qualifications and requirements
* Registered with the UK NMC as a Midwife.
* Experience in antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills essential for this post.
