Pay rate – £35 per hour Contract – Temporary Barnsley MB Council are currently recruiting experienced children’s Social Workers for their Integrated Front Door team. This post is to cover maternity leave for a minimum 6-month period. The successful candidate will have worked previously within a MASH/Screening Team and will be able to work at pace. The candidate will have a clear understanding of thresholds, be able to undertake risk assessments, complete safety plans and analyse information from multiple sources to inform plans and ensure children receive the level of service/help they require at the right time. Previous experience of working within a sign of safety framework and using Mosaic is preferred. Hybrid working arrangements are in place - currently 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH each week. As the post will be based in a police building, the postholder will need to consent to vetting checks being completed by South Yorkshire Police. WFH arrangements will be in place until the vetting process is completed. Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
