What does the role involve?

At Hastings, we’re looking for Agile Professionals who will focus on putting the needs of their teams first. You’ll inspire self-management, nurture self-organisation, and remove barriers to progress. By fostering trust and a culture of continuous improvement, you’ll help teams deliver against key performance indicators. Key Responsibilities:

1. Guiding and coaching the Scrum team in the Agile Methodologies used in Hastings Direct
2. Driving a culture of relentless improvement through regular Inspect and Adapt sessions to improve the Scrum Team’s KPI (velocity, defects, estimation accuracy etc)
3. Ensuring Agile ceremonies retain the purpose they are designed for and remain adequate, efficient and effective
4. Participating in the Scrum of Scrums, escalating all programme level impediments in a timely manner
5. Responsible for the consistent application and adherence to quality gates as defined in the Change Framework

Skills we would love you to have:

6. Practical experience working as an Agile Professional in a software change / delivery management role
7. Familiarity or knowledge across the following areas (or comparable equivalents): Agile development techniques and practices e.g. Scrum, XP, Kanban and SAFe
8. Understanding of automation toolsets
