Berry Recruitment is offering a fantastic opportunity for 2 x Carpenters to join our team, working with Southampton City Council. This 3-month contract has the potential for full-time employment for the right candidates.
The Role:
1. Working in Bassett, Lordshill, Shirley, and the City Centre
2. Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
3. PAYE direct with Berry Recruitment – including holiday pay
4. Carrying out property maintenance and UPVC installations (would be an advantage)
5. Working within the Housing Operations team, liaising with residents and colleagues
6. You will be provided with a van, tools, uniform and PPE.
What We’re Looking For:
7. Qualified Carpenter with experience in property maintenance
8. To have served a recognised apprenticeship to a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Wood Occupations or equivalent with 3 years’ experience of working in the domestic, commercial construction & maintenance environment.
9. Current full UK driving license to drive vehicles throughout the City
10. Ability to carry out small works in other trades
11. Confident, self-motivated, and customer-focused
12. Strong understanding of the construction industry
