Berry Recruitment is offering a fantastic opportunity for 2 x Carpenters to join our team, working with Southampton City Council. This 3-month contract has the potential for full-time employment for the right candidates.
The Role:
1. Working in Bassett, Lordshill, Shirley, and the City Centre
2. Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday up to 39 hours a week.
3. PAYE direct with Berry Recruitment – including holiday pay
4. Carrying out property maintenance
5. Working within the Housing Operations team, liaising with residents and colleagues
6. You will be provided with a van, tools, uniform and PPE.
7. ENHANCED DBS is required (can be done through are Agency after successfully interview)
We're Looking For:
8. Qualified Carpenter with experience in property maintenance
9. To have served a recognised apprenticeship to a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Wood Occupations or equivalent with 3 years’ experience of working in the domestic, commercial construction & maintenance environment.
10. Current full UK driving license to drive vehicles throughout the City
11. Ability to carry out small works in other trades
12. Confident, self-motivated, and customer-focused
13. Strong understanding of the construction industry
