Role Overview
Health & Safety Advisor – 30k Salary – 3 days per week – Permanent Contract

My client is a specialist carpentry contractor delivering high-quality residential new build projects across Sussex. With a reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and safety, they work with leading developers and construction partners to bring homes to life. As they grow, they are looking for a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their team and help them maintain the highest standards on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits across multiple projects
* Develop and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
* Produce detailed site visit reports and follow up on corrective actions
* Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to site operatives
* Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures
* Support site managers with incident investigations and reporting
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies as required
* Keep up to date with industry best practices and legislative changes
Requirements
* NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
* Proven experience in a construction-based health and safety role
* Strong working knowledge of residential new build environments
* Confident delivering toolbox talks and engaging with site teams
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Sussex
