ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a full-time Research Fellow for a 24-month fixed-term position to contribute to three Horizon Europe projects: GIANCE, ZEvRA, and BIOntier. Working under the direction of Professor Ahmed Elmarakbi, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary, collaborative EU-wide research team.
Your role will focus on the design and development of advanced composites, including conventional, bio-based, and graphene-related (GRM) composites. Key responsibilities include circular design, multi-parameter optimisation, modelling and numerical simulations, as well as conducting life cycle assessments (LCA) and life cycle costing (LCC).
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated researcher eager to work on innovative, cross-sectoral projects addressing next-generation sustainable materials and technologies within the European research landscape.

ABOUT YOU
Applicants should hold a PhD (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Materials Science, or a relevant discipline. Candidates should have demonstrable expertise in bio-based and GRM design and development, circular design, multi-parameter optimisation, modelling, numerical simulations, LCA, and LCC.
