We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced cleaning/housekeeping Supervisor to contribute to the day to day running of the Housekeeping team and Department for our branded hotel in Greater Manchester. We are a busy hotel based in the WN7 postal area. In this hands on role you will look to drive the productivity, motivation and development of all the Housekeeping team, whilst ensuring high standards and both brand and company guidelines are maintained. You will work with the Accommodation Manager, another supervisor and the greater hotel team.
Experience ideally gained in hotels will greatly assist you in securing this position. Your demonstrable knowledge of rostering and scheduling, along with experience in staff management is essential to your success. Must be flexible and able to work weekends to meet the needs of the business.
Our accomodation team work directly for the hotel, and not a contractor or agency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To be considered you must have the following experience and attributes:
*Dealing with suppliers of linen, cleaning materials and guest supplies, such as soap, shampoo, etc
*Controlling supply costs, as well as laundry, maintenance and wages.
*Overseeing stock takes, budgets and other paperwork, such as maintenance reports and safety audits.
*Ensuring lost property is kept safely and returned to its owner.
*Overseeing linen supplies, rooms and cleaning supplies.
Required Skills:
*Ability to nurture a good working relationship with other departments, such as reception and maintenance.
*Stunning time management skills so you can juggle your many duties.
*Attention to detail to ensure rooms are spic and span and well serviced and that equipment is stored safely.
*A stickler for health and safety as some staff may need to be trained to use hazardous cleaning materials
Know security protocol in case of emergency.
Working hours over the following: 5 x 8 hours shifts. A mixture of 7am until 3pm and 8am until 4pm. It will involve a fair share of weekend work, as per the nature of our business.

Pay Rate: £13.25 per hour
You've got to be self-motivated, adaptable, an excellent team motivator, communicator and team builder.
You will also need to be effective at cost control, keeping wages within budget. Be responsive, have the ability to solve problems and think on your feet.
