Sports Assistant / Lead Coordinator
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sports Assistant / Lead Coordinator to help manage and grow our community sports programs. This role offers the chance to oversee a diverse range of sports activities and make a real impact on the future of community engagement and fitness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations and growth of our junior football club, including managing football leagues.
* Coordinate and manage football development sessions, as well as establishing and running new programs, including walking groups, running clubs, and ladies' fitness classes.
* Help sustain and grow our Tots Play program.
* Manage a team of staff, coaches, and volunteers to deliver top-quality sessions across all sports.
* Lead marketing efforts, raising awareness, and creating strategies to meet targets for all programs.
* Build and enhance the reputation of our community programs to ensure continued growth and success.
* Opportunity to develop and expand programs, with the potential for more hours based on growth.
* Source funding to support and expand our sports and fitness programs.
Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum Level 2 sports/football coaching qualification.
* Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team of staff and volunteers.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse group of participants.
* Experience in sports development, program management, or similar roles.
* Proactive, results-driven, and committed to growing and improving our programs.
* Available to work weekends during term time.
