About the Role
Aviva is seeking an experienced and commercially astute corporate lawyer to join our Group Corporate Finance Legal team. This role offers the opportunity to operate at the heart of an FTSE 100 organisation, providing legal guidance that directly contributes to the successful delivery of Aviva’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality legal advice on complex and strategic corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate venturing, capital management, banking, and financing arrangements.
* Address legal aspects of corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
* Support broader strategic initiatives within a regulated financial services context.
* Collaborate with senior internal stakeholders, external counsel, and advisers to offer pragmatic and commercially sensitive advice.
Skills and Experience
* Substantial post-qualification experience in corporate law, ideally within a leading private practice or in-house at a regulated financial institution.
* High proficiency in corporate law and governance.
* Ability to apply legal expertise with sound commercial judgment and strategic awareness.
* Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.

* Competitive salary: circa £110,000 in the UK, circa £125,000 in London (dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
