Project Manager – Construction
Location: East Yorkshire (UK-wide travel required)
A well established and growing organisation within the construction sector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple installation projects across the UK. This is a dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing projects from pre-construction through to handover.
The Role
You will take full ownership of several projects concurrently, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards. Working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, you’ll play a key role in driving successful outcomes and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage projects from order through to completion and handover
* Undertake pre-tender and pre-commencement site visits
* Coordinate and lead project meetings (internal and client-facing)
* Monitor programme milestones and ensure timely delivery
* Manage contract variations and overall project costs
* Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation on site
* Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiation and performance
* Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks
* Prepare monthly progress and financial reports
* Ensure smooth, snag-free project handover and completion documentation
* Support aftercare handover and defect resolution processes
About You
* Proven experience in a Project Manager role within construction
* Strong commercial awareness and cost management capability
* Relevant qualification (Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering, or NVQ Level 6/7, or equivalent experience)
* Solid understanding of current Health & Safety legislation
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* IT literate with experience in project planning and reporting tools
