Golf Reception Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Golf Reception Manager to join our dedicated Front Office team. If you have the drive, ambition, and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within our award‑winning business.
In this role, you will be the friendly face of Close House, welcoming guests to both the golf club and hotel, while also managing two experienced Golf Reception team members. You will ensure that every guest receives the highest level of service from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the check‑in and check‑out process for golf guests and hotel guests, ensuring all needs are met throughout their stay.
* Maintain exceptional standards of service, product knowledge, and professionalism at all times.
* Serve as a key point of contact for guest queries and requests.
* Deliver warm, genuine hospitality and contribute positively to the overall guest experience.
* Manage and support two established Golf Reception team members.
* Demonstrate knowledge of green fees, hire rates, bedroom rates, packages, promotions, and general product offerings.
* Accurately take and input reservations.
* Maximise all upselling opportunities to enhance guest stays and support business performance.
* Experience with the Jonas Booking System is advantageous, but full training will be provided.
* Excellent communication, IT skills, and a strong eye for detail are essential.
* High levels of customer service must be maintained at all times.
Contract & Working Pattern
This is a full‑time position (40 hours per week). Due to seasonal demand, working patterns vary as follows:
Summer (1 April – 30 September):
* 4 × 10‑hour shifts per week
Winter (1 October – 31 March):
* 5 × 8‑hour shifts per week
You will also be required to provide holiday cover following the established team rota patterns.
Working hours fall between 7:00am and 7:00pm, and will include weekends.
Please note: Due to our rural location, your own transport is essential.
Salary & Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £25,500 – £27,000 per annum (depending on experience), along with an excellent benefits package, including:
