Job Title: Paint Shop Supervisor
EDGE INNOVATE is currently recruiting for a Paint Shop Supervisor to join our busy Paint Shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Paint Shop facility to maintain a cost-effective and efficient manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service Delivery
* Supervise daily operations of the paint shop team.
* Provide guidance on all paint shop operations, including blasting, prepping, painting, and repairs.
* Coach and mentor staff to develop skills.
* Estimate painting times, staffing, and costs to optimize production.
* Develop and improve manufacturing methods with regard to safety and quality standards.
* Plan workspace utilization.
* Conduct quality checks before and after jobs.
* Minimize rework requirements.
* Coordinate with the Fitting Shop to meet production targets.
* Report progress regularly to the Production Manager.
* Communicate with management regarding capabilities and schedules.
* Monitor performance to establish and improve standard production rates.
* Streamline purchasing to reduce costs.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience: Degree qualification with 2-3 years supervisory experience in a similar industry; hands-on painting experience with heavy machinery.
Desirable: Experience managing a Paint Shop and advising stakeholders; management/leadership qualification.
Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; analytical and problem-solving abilities; organizational and planning skills; proficiency in MS Office.
Circumstances: Ability to work flexible hours.
