Job Description
Join Shire of Derby/West Kimberley as a Tourism Officer in Derby. Permanent - Part Time role 8am - 2pm Monday through Friday!
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and promoting tourism? As a Tourism Officer you'll assist customers with bookings, provide accurate information on tours, accommodation, road conditions, and promote the beautiful West Kimberley region. You'll ensure our brochures and retail stock are well-displayed and up to date, while maintaining accurate records for Greyhound and Integrity bus services.
Please note that this position is based in Derby with a base salary range is from $61,654 - $65,911 plus generous allowances up to $15,104 (paid pro rata), superannuation (11% & up-to 7% Council matching), and 5 weeks annual leave. Desired Skills and Experience
The preferred applicant will have;
* Demonstrated experience in quality customer service in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated cash handling and numeracy experience
* Demonstrated ability to multitask, set priorities and proactively plan workload in order to meet demanding deadlines
* Demonstrated skills in managing information in a discreet, professional and confidential manner
* Demonstrated knowledge of the West Kimberley Region, particularly tourist attractions, tours and accommodation facilities
