Your Responsibilities
The Senior Warehouse Operator plays a key role in the efficient running of warehouse operations, ensuring all goods are received, stored, and dispatched in a timely manner while also in compliance with company procedures and FSSC 22000 food safety standards. This role provides guidance to warehouse staff, ensuring that all activities uphold safety, quality, and traceability requirements. This role also provides support to the warehouse supervisor.
•Assisting with unloading of vehicles, receiving in goods and inspecting them to company set standards.
•Ensure all materials and finished products are correctly labelled, stored, and rotated according to FIFO and FEFO principles.
•Schedule based Picking of both Customer and Production orders from the warehouse ready for packing/processing.
•Packing Customer orders ready for shipping to an exceptional standard.
•Daily Inventory counting and location checks.
•Preserves safe and clean work environment by ensuring hygiene and housekeeping standards are maintained in all storage and loading areas (5S principles).
•Complying to company procedures, rules, and regulations.
•Enforcing inventory controls to assist a minimum of 98% Stock accuracy.
•Using a PC and a handheld scanner to input data in order to maintain inventory levels.
•Communicating with other departments within the business.
•Support Cycle Counts and reconciliation.
•KPIs maintenance
•Provide guidance, training, and support to warehouse operatives to ensure tasks are completed to standard.
•Oversee daily warehouse activities including goods-in, storage, stock control, and dispatching when the warehouse supervisor is absent from the area.
•Any other duties as required by your manager or company director.
Your Profile
•Forklift Truck experience – Reach Truck specifically
•Information Technology literacy (IT)
•Stock control experience
•Literacy and numeracy skills
•Enthusiastic and hardworking individual with a focus on providing the best possible service.
•Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others both internally and externally.
•High attention to detail in producing a quality output and able to maintain this when under pressure.
•Presentable, with excellent communication skills.
•Works well under pressure – flexible and able to prioritise on variety of tasks.
•Can work on one’s own initiative – self-motivated.
•Desire to find solutions to problems.
•Energised and upbeat.
