Nursery Assistant L2

We currently have opportunities for practitioners at NVQ L2 for posts for Nursery Assistant.

Applicants will be assessed on their level of experience via submission of a CV and through interview.

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of the EYFS and will understand children's needs and how to encourage them to reach their full potential through exciting and challenging planning, observation and assessment. The Candidate

We also have apprenticeship opportunities for NVQ L2 and L3 positions

To contribute towards activities, suitable for the age range of the children in your care in conjunction with other staff /volunteers using the Early Years Foundation Stage Principles.

To keep record of achievement file on your key children, for parents.

Work alongside parents to achieve full integration in the nursery.

Identify children & give full support and guidance regarding SEND as deemed appropriate by senior staff.

Support all staff and engage in good team relations.

Liaise with and support parents and other family members.

To attend all out of working hours activities, e.g. training, meetings, parents evening, fun days, parties etc.

To be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of meals and snacks, cleansing of equipment and other similar tasks.

Work alongside the Supervisor / Manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the nursery's fulfilled.

Record accidents and incidents in the appropriate book, ensuring each report is witnessed by a supervisor.

Look upon the nursery as a 'whole' where can your help be most utilised, be constantly aware of the children's needs.

Ensure each child is collected by someone known to the nursery and registered as an authorised person.

To respect the confidentiality of information received.

To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key worker.

The preparation and completion of activities to suit the children's stage of development.

To ensure mealtimes are times of pleasant social sharing.

Washing and changing children as required.

Providing comfort and warmth to a poorly child.

To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment in accordance with or Equal Opportunities Policy and ethos.

To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to uphold its standards at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.60-£12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

* Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
