Salary: £60,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements: We require experience with PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment. We require experience supporting a wide range of conveyors and sortation systems. We require experience with material handling, flow, and capacity visualization and monitoring. We require experience working with computer-based and web-based tools. We require experience using MS Project, MS Office, and MS SharePoint. We require experience with Ladder Logic and structured programming from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLCs. We require experience with Ignition SCADA or a similar platform, and Human Machine Interface systems. We require experience with HMI systems, industrial networks, VFDs, and servo controllers. We require strong English-language communication skills, both written and verbal. We require experience with EthernetIP, Profinet, Profibus, AS-i, or other fieldbus networks. A bachelors degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred. We prefer experience leading change in multi-site environments. We prefer experience working with Agile project management methodologies. We prefer experience with Six Sigma or analytical and process improvement techniques. We prefer experience working within ISO 13849 and ISO 62061 frameworks. Responsibilities: We monitor, troubleshoot, and repair issues with key systems. We work with the EU Controls network to monitor Material Handling Equipment metrics. We provide data visualisations of troubleshooting results to internal stakeholders. We own or actively participate in continuous improvement projects run by the EU Controls network. We work with different departments to ensure systems are correctly documented and that accurate backup libraries are maintained. We work with global colleagues to install and commission new equipment. We support other sites in the EU Controls network as needed. We interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and develop improvement strategies for code conforming to IEC 61131-3. We share our expertise with colleagues and keep Engineering Technicians up to date with device troubleshooting and preventative maintenance control training. We lead solutions when systems fail or can be improved, and help implement those improvements.
