Dorset HealthCare Orthotics Service is seeking a full-time Clinic Support Administrator (37.5 hours per week) based at Maple Place, Poole, BH15 2LG. The closing date for applications is 19 May 2026.
Responsibilities
* Manage day‑to‑day office tasks: answering phones, registering referrals, booking appointments, and placing orders.
* Use Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and other appointment booking systems such as CAMIS, E‑referral, and SysmOne.
* Provide telephone and face‑to‑face contact with patients and members of the public.
* Communicate daily with clinicians, other Health Care Professionals, and members of the Trust.
* Assist the team with any additional duties required in a busy clinic and reception environment.
Eligibility & Requirements

* Employment requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The Trust will cover the cost of this check; applicants with an existing DBS certificate may present that instead.
Person Specification
* Knowledge, skills and training
o NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in office procedures.
o Good standard of secondary education; 5 GCSE English Language or equivalent grade C or above.
o Knowledge of medical terminology.
o Recent experience of working in a comparable role.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Knowledge of full range of secretarial procedures.
o Recent experience in a customer‑focused environment.
o Clear understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality.
o Previous experience in NHS/healthcare.
o Understanding of 18‑week referral to treatment.
* Information Technology
o Advanced keyboard skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
o Experience of appointment booking systems such as CAMIS, E‑referral, SysmOne.
* Job Specific
o Able to lift and move orthotics products ordered for patients.
