Duties
* Safely operate HGV Class 1, 2, or Van vehicles in accordance with legal and company requirements
* Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance
* Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
* Deliver goods to various locations within specified timeframes, maintaining punctuality
* Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
* Adhere to all traffic laws and health & safety regulations during operations
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
* Maintain a clean and organised vehicle interior and exterior throughout shifts
Qualifications
* Valid HGV Class 1, 2 licence or Van driving licence with relevant experience
* Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with flatbed or delivery vehicles
* Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
* Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws in the UK
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
* Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely when required
* A clean driving licence with no serious endorsements or points
