Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Company Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of two related business entities on a temporary basis for a minimum of 12 months. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing management with timely financial insights. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organised, and comfortable working in a small business environment.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
* Maintain accurate financial records for two entities using QuickBooks.
* Process all transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries.
* Reconcile bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts monthly.
* Prepare and process supplier invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements.
* Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely billing and collections.
Financial Reporting
* Produce monthly management accounts, P&L statements, and balance sheets for each entity.
* Prepare cash flow statements and forecasts.
* Support budgeting and financial planning processes.
* Assist with year-end closing and liaise with external accountants or auditors as required.
Compliance & Administration
* Ensure compliance with tax and reporting obligations (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, etc.).
* Maintain accurate financial documentation and filing systems.
* Support payroll processing (either in-house or with external provider).
* Implement and maintain internal financial controls and best practices.
