Are you looking for a rewarding career opportunity in the field of internal audit? We are seeking a talented and experienced Internal Audit Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who has flexibility, is a self-starter and thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about ensuring operational excellence in audit processes.
This role is a full time position working on a 12 month fixed term contract, based in Milton Keynes but occasionally at other sites of ICAEW in the UK and potentially overseas for short durations.
Role Profile
As part of the Internal Audit team, you will play a critical role in supporting the business by delivering high-quality audit engagements, identifying areas for improvement, and helping implement best practices. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in auditing while working alongside a team of highly experienced and qualified professionals.
Responsibilities include:* Maintain adequate records of audit work on the dept's audit software system.* Update the Internal Audit departments intranet pages following instruction from the Head of Internal Audit.* Maintain key records for own audits to support the reporting of KPIs.* Ensure own audits follow the process and meet the standards set out in the Internal Audit Manual.* Be proactive and take ownership to ensure stakeholder needs are met, involving others as appropriate.
Candidate Profile
Requirements include:
* Formal professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, IIA * Practical and demonstrable deep experience of conducting financial and operational audits with minimum supervision* Proficient in Microsoft applications* Practical and demonstrable exposure to the principles of Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Self-Assessment approaches.* Practical experience of using Audit Software such as Workiva and auditing pension administration will be a great advantage.
