HR Business Partner, West Cumbria, Up to £37,000, Permanent, Full Time, Site Based Looking for a fresh challenge where your HR expertise can make a real difference? This is a chance to join a progressive, values-led Public Sector client in West Cumbria. You’ll join a team of 4 other HR professionals to support managers and teams across the organisation with a proactive, high-quality HR service, covering employee relations, recruitment, compliance, staff development and HR projects. What you’ll be responsible for Advising managers on employee relations casework: disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence Supporting consultation and communication processes (including trade unions where required) Supporting recruitment activity and delivering monthly staff inductions Managing a high volume of HR enquiries with efficiency and care Supporting payroll administration and follow-up actions Leading on safeguarding HR compliance Coaching managers on policies, procedures, probation and performance development Supporting staff development activity Supporting staff development, engagement and wellbeing initiatives and action plans Producing HR data/MI (turnover, absence, recruitment, EDI) and spotting trends Supporting HR projects and continuous improvement across HR service delivery What we’re looking for CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent) and experience in a busy HR environment Strong working knowledge of employee relations and employment law Confident advising and coaching managers, with excellent customer service Organised, discreet, and accurate, with strong attention to detail CIPD Level 5 and/or education sector experience is a bonus, not essential Important to know This is a fully site-based role due to the nature of the organisation (no hybrid), so you’ll need to live within reasonable commuting distance of the West Cumbria site.
