The SAP FICO Analyst (London) supports the London SAP Finance and Controlling team and collaborates with the local Finance & Treasury, Tax, and Global Trading Operations teams to elicit business requirements (functional, technical, and non-functional). The SAP FICO Analyst advises on how to best meet these requirements within the SAP environment, considering business processes.
What You Will Do
* Work independently and in teams to deliver technology-enabled business changes.
* Engage with Finance & Treasury, Retail Finance, Tax, Global Trading Operations, and other stakeholders, as well as architecture, development, and SAP teams, to assess, shape, and implement business changes and BAU tasks.
* Consult with key stakeholders to understand processes, develop business cases, document requirements, and define specifications and acceptance criteria.
* Coordinate with testing teams (unit, QA, UAT) to ensure solutions meet expectations and positively impact operations at implementation.
What You Will Bring
You should have solid functional knowledge of SAP ECC modules, including Finance (FI) — General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Asset Accounting (AA); Controlling (CO) — Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Assessments; SAP Banking, especially e-banking; and SAP Travel Management (highly valued). Experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Financial Invoicing to Cash, Month-End Closing, Record to Report workflows, and Trade Settlements is essential, especially within a commodity trading or financial services environment. Your ability to bridge technology and business needs will make you a key asset, driving efficiency and process improvements.
* Knowledge of IFRS 9 – Accounting for Financial Instruments
* Understanding of Statutory, Management, and Group reporting
* Experience in SAP functional solution design
* Knowledge of SAP change management
* Strong grasp of period-end closing processes
