Summary
You will be required to support the team by providing a comprehensive fault diagnostics repairs and improvements in line with business objectives.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can work in a fast-moving environment to tight deadlines.
This position is based in Hortonwood Telford and the hours are Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 16.15pm and Friday 7.00 am to 11.00 am.
Responsibilities -
* To conduct preventative maintenance to jigs and machinery in line with the department schedule.
* Conduct regular inspections to identity potential issues before they arise, carry out lubrication adjustments and part replacement.
* Carry out press height measurements using a variety of measuring equipment on component parts to ensure we adhere to R&D drawing specifications.
* Order, replenish and maintain the maintenance stores to ensure there is adequate stock for a smooth functioning of preventative and reactive maintenance.
* To demonstrate a positive attitude for continuous improvement through Kaizen and 5s activity to reduce waste and duplication to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
* Communicate and report effectively to your supervisor the progress of all project work allocated to you. Ensuring that any delays to project work that may threaten production, together with recovery proposals, are reported in a timely manner to your supervisor.
Experience
* Proven working experience within a high-volume manufacturing maintenance environment
* Good working knowledge of Mechanical Principles.
* Able to use a variety of measuring techniques.
* Understanding of SMED, 5S and 5Wastes and Kaizen activity.
* Capable of understanding complex mechanical drawings.
* Able to multitask with minimum supervision.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
* Proven working experience within a toolroom environment would be preferable but is not essential as training will be provided
