Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Assistant Management Accountant will support the delivery of a comprehensive and professional accounting function to Great Places Housing Group.
What you’ll be doing
* To support the production of prompt accurate meaningful and well explained monthly management accounts to facilitate budgetary control and facilitate meetings with budget holders.
* To support the production of specified balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis to ensure regulatory indicators and financial covenants can be monitored.
* To support the accounting and reporting, for statutory accounts, regulatory returns and internal reporting;
* To monitor and update financial timetables and proactively ensure deadlines are met.
* Prepare routine journals under the direction of the Finance Business Partners or Management Accountants;
* Prepare working paper templates for statutory and regulatory returns, statutory accounts, budgets or the business plan in line with timetable agreed by the Senior Finance Team
What you’ll need
* AAT Qualified (or qualified by experience)
* Use of full range of Microsoft Office, with knowledge in Excel
* Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure
* Good written and verbal communication
* Effective liaison with staff/other stakeholders to give information/find information/resolve problems
* Organisation and ability to time-manage work load
* Able to deliver a high standard of customer service
* The ability to develop and project a positive image of Great Places through personal, written and oral skills
