Your role is all about ensuring that the people of the community, staff and stakeholders have a positive experience. This role is varied and exciting, constantly seeking to enhance and improve the services offered. Having outstanding communication skills and an ability to connect with people are key to the success of this role.
Responsibilities
* Engaging the local community into the Campus through our café and wider community activities, workshops and projects.
* Coordinate and promote a programme of engagement events, initiatives and activities that enhance the community’s experience of the Campus – making sure we continue engaging and supporting more people every day
* Lead on marketing and communications with support from our inhouse marketing team. Plan social media campaigns, pull together community newsletters and update our digital notice boards. Ensure we share what activity is happening at the Campus and how people can get involved.
* Work closely with the Campus team to generate new memberships and income streams, actively seeking new and innovative ways to deliver out of the Campus.
* Generate accurate quotes, clearly detailing all requirements from room hire to catering.
* Act as a central point of contact for the people of the community and all members, ensuring that all visitors to the Campus have a great experience.
* Advocate for Campus visitors, ensuring that all staff understand the importance of the customer experience.
* Connect with the community, collating feedback to enhance the services delivered from Campus.
* Complete journey mapping, analyse the community and member experience and identify ways to improve this.
* Review all feedback and provide both a proactive and reactive response to ensure visitor satisfaction.
* Support onsite conferencing facilities ensuring that members receive an exceptional experience.
* Work with the marketing team to promote the Campus to the local community, businesses and wider organisations.
* Develop relationships and attend networking events with other partners and organisations to create a seamless and positive experience.
Experience and skills
* Strong literacy skills with the ability to write clearly and effectively.
* Ability to communicate effectively with people from a variety of different backgrounds.
* Good IT skills and experience of using all Microsoft packages.
* Excellent event organiser, ensuring all activity is well promoted, organised and delivered smoothly.
* Experience of engaging with a wide range of service providers and community organisations.
* Open-minded, non-judgmental, inclusive, adaptable, and flexible.
* Organised with the ability to plan and monitor a varied busy workload.
* Ability to connect with people and bring different groups together to facilitate collaboration.
* Strong people skills, building rapport and fostering positive relationships.
* Flexible approach to work and the ability to meet challenges and adapt to change.
* Self-motivated, resilient, with drive and determination to achieve results.
