Our client, a well-established and highly respected volume house builder, is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their growing construction team. With multiple live developments and a strong pipeline of new projects, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional looking to progress their career with a reputable residential developer.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of a busy residential development, helping to ensure homes are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the Site Manager with the management of site operations on a residential development
2. Coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure work is completed to programme
3. Monitor quality standards and ensure works meet company specifications
4. Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site
5. Support with site inspections and snagging processes
6. Ensure materials and resources are available when required
7. Assist with site documentation and reporting
8. Help deliver plots in line with build programmes and customer expectations
Requirements
9. Previous experience in residential construction, ideally with a developer or main contractor
10. Experience working on volume housebuilding developments is desirable
11. Strong organisational and communication skills
12. Ability to manage subcontractors and site activities effectively
13. Good understanding of health and safety regulations
Qualifications (Desirable)
14. SMSTS or SSSTS
15. CSCS Card
16. First Aid at Work
17. Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
