As part of our continued growth across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, we are looking to appoint an experienced Groundworks & Civils Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding commercial team.

As the business continues its next phase of growth, we are looking to appoint a Groundworks & Civils Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team, supporting the successful delivery of projects and helping drive strong commercial performance across the business.

The Impact You'll Make
We are looking for a commercially driven Groundworks & Civils Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the financial and contractual performance of multiple projects.
This role will play a key part in protecting margins, managing risk, supporting operational teams, and ensuring strong commercial control from pre-construction through to final account.
Working closely with site managers, engineers, site teams, clients, and the supply chain, you will help ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
•\tFull commercial management of groundwork and civil engineering packages
•\tPreparation of budgets, cost plans, valuations, and final accounts
•\tProcurement and management of subcontractor and supplier packages
•\tPreparation and submission of applications, variations, and compensation events
•\tMonthly cost reporting, forecasting, and CVR management
•\tMeasurement and re-measurement of site works
•\tIdentification and management of commercial risks and opportunities
•\tContract administration
•\tLiaison with site delivery teams to ensure accurate cost capture and programme alignment
•\tSupporting tendering, pre-construction pricing, and value engineering initiatives
Your Skills and Experience
•\tProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks and civil engineering
•\tStrong knowledge of residential infrastructure, roads & sewers, drainage, foundations, and plot works
•\tExperience managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts
•\tStrong understanding of JCT and NEC contracts
•\tExcellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
•\tStrong negotiation, reporting, and communication skills
•\tAbility to work in a fast-paced delivery environment
•\tProactive mindset with a solution-led approach
•\tFull UK driving licence
