Overview
In the Construction environment, you will support buying materials, managing large projects, ensuring health and safety, and delivering customer service. We work on circa 400 developments across the UK, in towns and rural areas, including greenfield and brownfield sites, adapting existing buildings such as old factories or disused hospitals.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will assist in managing the development of the site through to completion, ensuring that Programme, Quality and Cost targets are achieved in line with the build programme, through effective management of the Site team and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
* Support the Site Manager in coordinating trades, direct labour and materials to meet the production programme
* Work with the Sales Team to ensure regular Sales/Build meetings, adherence to Sales/Build procedures, and inspections of show homes
* Assume responsibilities as directed by the Site Manager; deputise for the Site Manager when required
* Assist in ensuring the on-site Construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines for roles, and support in communication, training and workload management
* Deliver excellent customer service to customers in line with company guidelines
What You’ll Need
* Experience working within established build programmes
* Assertive to ensure delivery of targets by the on-site team and trades/labour
* Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs
* Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or qualified to NVQ level in Construction Management or time-served tradesman with extensive construction experience
* In-depth knowledge of construction trade aspects and relevant legislative requirements (e.g., Health and Safety, NHBC requirements, Building Regulations)
* Good knowledge and experience in Customer Service
