Overview
£36,650 - £39,032 per annum – the band minimum is the normal starting pay for those new to a role. In exceptional circumstances, when relevant skills and experience can be identified, a higher starting salary may be considered.

British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is looking for an exceptional Research Development Co-ordinator to join our ReDs Team. BAS delivers and enables world-leading interdisciplinary research in the Polar Regions. We employ experts from many different professions to carry out our Science as well as keep the lights on, feed the research and support teams and keep everyone safe!

Some of your main responsibilities will include:
* Lead the development and implementation of research compliance and due diligence processes aligned with UKRI, NERC, and national regulatory frameworks
* Monitor and interpret evolving compliance requirements, including Trusted Research, Export Control etc. and ensure BAS policies and practices remain up to date
* Conduct due diligence assessments for research proposals and collaborations, identifying potential risks and coordinating mitigation strategies
Qualifications
For the role of Science Support Manager, we are looking for somebody who has:
* Demonstrable experience in research compliance, due diligence, or regulatory affairs within a research organisation or funding body
* Strong understanding of UKRI and national compliance frameworks, including Due Diligence, Trusted Research etc.
* Experience in risk assessment and mitigation in a research or institutional context
