Overview
Trainee Systemic Family Practitioner (Recruit to Train) - 1 year fixed-term, 1.0 WTE. This is a government-funded Recruit to Train (RTT) post as part of NHSE funded CYP Psychological Training Programmes (formerly CYP-IAPT) within West London CAMHS Eating Disorder Service.
Please note: The position is based at 1 Armstrong Way, Southall, UB2 4SD, with expected travel to King's College London for teaching during the training year.

Responsibilities
We are recruiting a SFP Practitioner to work within the West London CAMHS Eating Disorder Team. This is a training role within the CYP-IAPT Programme. The role includes high-quality supervision, with CPD and career development opportunities. The post is funded by NHSE for the training year, after which the fixed-term contract ends. Applicants will be encouraged to apply for vacant posts within the service.
You will balance a busy work and study schedule as you undertake a Postgraduate Diploma course. You will be employed by the service and enrolled on a postgraduate programme. You will study outside protected study time (weekends and after work). Protected study time is typically two days per week during term, with possible additional university days near the start. You may need to travel into London for lectures.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Qualifications demonstrating capacity to complete academic work at postgraduate diploma level.
* A registerable professional qualification (e.g. clinical or educational psychology, social work, counselling, mental health nursing, occupational therapy, etc).
* Applications may be considered from those without a registerable professional training if they have at least 3 years' experience in a CAMHS or equivalent setting and can demonstrate equivalence through the RPL process.
* Minimum second-class Bachelor's Degree from a UK University or an overseas qualification of equivalent standard in a relevant subject (e.g. psychology, social work, etc).
Experience
* A minimum of two years of experience working with children/families/young people in a mental health setting.
* Experience of assessing and managing risk and safeguarding issues.
* Experience of multi-agency and/or multi-disciplinary working and liaising across internal & external agencies.
Knowledge
* Knowledge and understanding of risk and safeguarding issues related to children and young people.
* Ability to be an autonomous practitioner while working as part of a multi-agency locality team.

* Capability to complete academic work at postgraduate diploma level, including IELTS or equivalent as required (Band D).
Desirable
* Understanding of evidence-based clinical practice and how it informs good clinical practice.
